Real-time diffusion, edition and collaboration

NSim Contour

NSim Contour is a decision support system based on a new GIS technology providing efficient interaction with maps in their original formats over a network (or Internet). The software allows users to share information in real-time within an interactive geographic environment. Decision makers can also consult information (past and present) in a spatio-temporal database. Users can easily add points, lines and polygons on the map. Collaboration is made fast and intuitive even for novice users.

NSim Contour simplifies the access to geographic resources:

  • Geographic data
  • Assets
  • Telemetric data (GPS, etc.)
  • Camera

Features:

  • User-friendly graphical interface
  • Web-based access
  • Efficient 2D/3D rendering engine
  • Spatio-temporal database
  • Collaborative module
  • Direct connection with common GIS formats (vectors, rasters, WMS, Oracle Spatial, PostGIS)
  • Access to original geographic information provided by the new NSim vector streaming technology
  • Integration with Mavix products

User friendly graphical interface

The graphical user interface is simple and intuitive.

  • Efficient tools to interact with the map (pan, zoom, move/create/remove objects)
  • Add geographic elements with a simple drag & drop
  • Personalized display of geographic layers (road, water, GPS, etc.)
  • Measure tool
  • Painting tool
  • Polygon edition
  • Timeline providing interaction with past maps
  • Searching tool
  • Tools for communication and collaboration

Geographic information system technology

NSim Contour publishes all your maps in their native format (vector, raster, WMS, Spatial database). This is major technological step over the common map technologies used which provide the maps only in raster mode. NSim Technology has developed a new generalization and streaming technology to publish many formats of vector/raster maps over the web.

NSim Contour supports all common geographic data formats like vector format ESRI shapefile, mapinfo, E00, GML, Oracle Spatia, raster formats GeoTiff, JPEG, GeoRaster and Web map services WMS. The geographic technology can handle over 42 different spatial projections and can mix different data sources with an automatic reprojection component.

The new technology of NSim Contour can load a geographic file (ex. shapefile) and automatically create a generalized hierarchical data format with multiple level of details in order to stream it over the internet. This new technology will help users to have direct access to original and native format of the geographic data even if the data set is very large.

Real-Time collaboration feature

NSim Contour enables to all connected users to exchange information and geographic information in real-time. When a connected user move an object on the map, the modification is immediately sent to all other clients. Each change on the map is broadcast with a push technology providing an efficient approach to send information (no need to refresh). A user can send images, geographic links, and messages.

  • Each user can interact independently with the map
  • All changes on the map is broadcast to other connected users
  • Users' cursor publishing
  • Messages center
  • Geographic links

Spatio-Temporal database

NSim Contour includes a spatial and a temporal database providing storage capabilities for all changes and operations executed on the map. This database provides access to past information like GPS, elements on the map, events and all related information. The database module supports SQLServer, Oracle, PostGres and embedded Oracle xmlDB.

GPS tracking module

NSim Contour also provides a GPS tracking module which can be fed by multiple GPS sources (Cypress, Mavix, BlueTree, Blackberry). The engin of NSim Contour is optimized to support more than 1000 GPS updated in real-time and displayed on the map. Moreover, users can define Geofences related to different actions and notifications (launch web page, send email, sms or send phone call).

  • Integrated GeoFence
  • Access to all historical data of the device
  • Using reports (Km, distance, time)
  • Support multiple GPS sources (Cypress, Blackberry, BlueTree, Mavix)
