Joint command decision support (JCDS) 21 Core Test Bed contact awarded by consortium DMR, Lockeed Martin, CAE, LGS, XWave, Prolity and NSim Technology

October 2007

Nsim Technology is proud to announce that the consortium has been awarded the JCDS 21 core test bed contract delivered by DRDC-Valcartier. The value of the contract is CAD $10 millions, and follows similar recent awards for the first JCDS21 contract.

New business location for NSim

September 2007

Nsim Technology is proud to announce its new business location situated at : 4715 ave Des Replats, Quebec city, G2J 1B8.

The new facilities will provide more space for the team in order to install new equipment and develop new technology.

NSim awards a contract to develop maritime traffic simulator with DRDC-CORA in ottawa

June 2007

NSim announces the development of a simulation of the target/sensor environment that represents the surface traffic, the performance of various surveillance assets operating on that traffic, and the integration of this surveillance information into a RMP over time. This vision will be realized as the Simulation of Surface Surveillance System-of-Systems Success, or the ‘S6 Model’, which will be developed under contract.

This system will be based on the GéoSDK technology integrating a map-like presentation using Geographic Information System (GIS) of west and east canada coast combining with a flexible 2D/3D GUI.

NSim awards a contract throught JDCS21 to develop an automatic UAV planning system for DRDC-Valcartier

January 2007

The global objective of this project is to develop, experiment with and compare different decision support approaches to help in solving the cooperative patrolling/surveillance problem.

The COLMAS system will be developed using GéoSDK and will be able to support an interaction process between the user and the computer in order to efficiently solve the surveillance problem in a geographic environment in accordance with the user's preferences.

Consortium DMR-Thales-NSim awards a part of the JCDS21 TD contract for DRDC

November 2006

The complexity of the challenges facing the Canadian Forces demands innovative means and technologies to support critical thinking, team building, and course of action development, shared situation awareness and execution management. JCDS 21 TD will demonstrate concepts, strategies and technologies to support situation analysis and intelligence, visualization, action support and operations management. This project will demonstrate the benefit of robustly networking the Joint Staff Action Team (JSAT) and its supporting organisations within a distributed collaborative environment.

NSim, as a part of the consortium DMR-Thales-NSim, awards the second position of the decision aids section of the contracts.

NSim awards a DRDC-Valcartier contract to develop a decision support system for UAV coordination

January 2006

The intended effort lies on the development of framework, algorithms, and automated advisory decision support capabilities for dynamic distributed resource management for the surveillance problem in a geographic environment.

Based on the GéoSDK technology, the new application will be able to automatically finds course of actions for multiple UAVs in a surveillance operation.

NSim awards a DRDC-Valcartier contract to develop a decision support system for COA development

January 2005

The MAGS-COA project is the unification of geosimulation, AI and decision analysis system. MAGS-COA uses geosimulation to simulate course of actions (COAs) in a geographic space using realistic algorithms and feeds simulation results to a decision analysis module. The system is able to specify and simulate an operation, and analyze mission outcomes. The results can be used to adjust the COA in order to try a better way to address the operational problem.

MAGS-COA will be built using the GeoSDK platform provided by NSim.

NSim awards a R&D contract to design and develop a decision support system using military lessons learned at DRDC-Valcartier

March 2005

This project is part of a long term research and development effort of the Canadian Forces to study the planning process of military operations (OPP) and to develop decision support software for Command and Control (C2). The planning process is a complex process in which a team must analyse a situation (situation assessment), propose courses of actions (COA) (COAs elaboration) and select the most appropriate COA which is used to plan the operations. Hence, the interest in software and tools that may support the planning team when elaborating COAs.

The prototype to develop in this project must provide a way of exploiting Lessons Learned (LL) in the context of the OPP to help decision-makers in the opreations planning process.

NSim announces the first release of the GéoSDK platform

January 2005

The GéoSDK is a software development kit which provides functionalities and components to develop client-server architecture integrating geographic data (GIS), artificial intelligence analysis and flexible graphical user interface.
